India’s mid-market segment is one of the major drivers of its growth and development. Mid-market companies typically require significant amounts of capital for their growth and find it challenging to access debt from the banking system to fund their growth. This gap is filled by mid-market focused private equity funds providing risk capital, driving growth and generating employment.
Control deals have the potential to deliver strong outperformance. However, successfully executing them requires a unique ‘owner’ mindset and firm-building skills. As the Indian private equity ecosystem matures, the demand for buyout / control capital is expected to increase, particularly in the mid- market segment. This traditionally underserved segment presents a unique opportunity for experienced teams.
India is experiencing a digital transformation that is driving innovation, efficiency and access. Fuelled by a blend of talent, entrepreneurship, government initiatives for digital adoption and the availability of institutional capital, India’s startup ecosystem has become the third largest globally. Technology-focused Venture Capital funds enable investors to take early-stage risks, while gaining access to emerging technologies in areas such as AI, Robotics, health-tech, climate-tech, and cyber-security. With large scale innovation that’s driving adoption of technology and disruption of business models, we enable investors to participate in this opportunity through a mix of fund investments and select co-investments.
Demand for quality affordable and mid-income housing in India has consistently outstripped supply. Over the last decade, one of the key challenges for developers has been the availability of capital tailored to this segment. Structured debt solutions have emerged as a critical tool in addressing this gap, providing developers with the necessary capital to meet the growing housing demand in urban areas.
